It’s been a banner six months for transfeminine fiction! Between indie bundles that sold over 1000 units and a crop of traditional publishing that scholar Mackenzie Wark dubbed the “Trans Fem Literary Springtime,” 2025 has been an absolutely incredible year so far for trans readers, and I’ve done my very best to document it all.

This is a comprehensive catalog of every book published by a transfeminine author in Q1 and Q2 of 2025 that I have been personally made aware of. I do my best to include everything without gatekeeping, though I do leave off short stories and AI slop from Kindle Unlimited. It’s a big publishing world, and I’ve spent the entirety of the last six months learning about all the cool books I missed from the last list! This is a work in progress, so please don’t hesitate to contribute if you notice titles that are missing from here.

If you are a transfeminine author who published a work of literature in the period between 1/1/25 and 6/30/25 and you don’t see your book on this list, please reach out to me and I will add it. Nothing is too obscure to be included here.

Obviously if anyone spots errors in the list, let me know about those too.

THE DISCOVERY READING CHALLENGE: Here’s a fact – there isn’t a single person who will look at this list and recognize every single book and author! I know I certainly didn’t. It might be intimidating to look at such a large booklist, so let me pose you a challenge: pick one book by an author you’ve never even heard of and read it blind. If you don’t want to go in completely blind, then read the summaries until you find one that interests you.

There’s never a better time than July for a summer read, and your favorite author could be waiting on this list for you to discover them! It can be such a challenge for trans authors to rise out of obscurity, so let’s take a moment to support our lesser-known and underground authors too.
